Battery Energy Drink is proud to introduce the newest member of B-Moto, drifting driver Krisse Aalto. Krisse Aalto is the first female drifting driver in Finland. Krisse had been driving ice track for a few years and dreamed of a drifting car all the time. Finally in September 2011, she bought a Toyota Soarer and was able to start drifting for real. In 2012, Krisse will be competing in the Finnish Street and ProStreet series.

What is drifting, you may ask? Drifting refers to a driving technique and to a motor sport where the driver intentionally oversteers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels, while maintaining control from entry to exit of a corner. A car is drifting when the rear slip angle is greater than the front slip angle, to such an extent that the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction to the turn (e.g. when the car is turning left, the wheels are pointed right or vice versa).

As a motor sport, professional drifting competitions are held worldwide and are judged according to the speed, angle and line taken through a corner or set of corners. In Finland, drifting is a relatively new motor sport. The first Finnish Championships in drifting will be held this year. Additionally, the Finnish Drift Open (FDO) is organizing races in the Street and ProStreet series, which are the stepping stone to the Finnish Championships as well as international Pro Series races.

Welcome to the B-Moto team, Krisse.
