B-Squad’s Anna reports from Sisu Masters and Nordic ChampionshipsPublished on 22.10.2013 13:38
“The Sisu Masters competition held in Salmisaari, October 5th 2013 was something we haven’t seen in Finland before. A couple of the best professional climbers in the world came to Finland to challenge the top finnish climbers. The competition venue was an awesome indoor beach volley court full of sand and a bouldering wall specially set up for the event.”
Indeed the competition format was different. Each athlete did their own route setting, which everyone climbed in the competition. Even though Anna’s fingers were bleeding she did what she had to and placed third right after multiple World Cup winners Anna Stöhr and Melissa Le Neve.
Two weeks after Sisu Masters Anna went on to her final competition of the year. Anna finished fourth at the Nordic Championships in Stockholm. The result is something to be proud of, especially because Anna had to compete in nasty flu.
Anna’s big competitions are done for this year. Battery Energy Drink wishes her great winter season and we will be waiting to see you back in action next year.
