Motocross of Nations
The world’s best motocross racers including the ”big bucks” American stars came to Lommel, Belgium to compete against another 32 teams in the Motocross of Nations, a team race for national teams of 3 riders.
Team Finland in the big race
Team Finland, winner of a bronze medal three times, saw their chances reduced by the absence of injured Antti Pyrhönen. Nevertheless the three Finns, Koskela, Söderberg and Lehtinen managed on Saturday to score good results which gave them a start in the big race on Sunday.
”Conditions were really rough but I have seen worse” said Ludde Söderberg, the MX1 rider on Team Finland. ”I rode really well against the best MX1 riders in the world. I was a steady thirteenth all the way until the last lap.”
