Starting the game

You start the game with formula racing -shortcut on your desktop. Updater first checks for the new patches and then starts the game.

At start game will take you straight to the lounge. You start the game as a guest. You can play the game as guest but your scores or lap times will not be saved at the end of the session. You can create an account by pressing Create account in the login window. If you already have an account, write your email and password to login.

Lounge

Movement in lounge area is done by arrow keys. Holding down shift key makes your avatar run. When in lounge area all menus can be accessed with mouse, select different options by left-clicking on them.

Graphic settings

NOTICE! When you start the game for the first time, all graphics settings are set to ultra low. These settings can be changed from the more -> options.

Chat window

Chat window on lower left shows all the incoming messages. You can select which channel you’re talking to by pressing lounge or team. Write your message and press enter or say-button to send it.

Some specific chat commands:

 

/tell <player>

Sends private message to <player>.

/who

Shows players currently present at the lounge.

/join <lounge name>

Lets you join lounge <lounge name>.

/where <player>

Shows you in which lounge <player> is at the moment


Short review of the available menu commands:

 

Racing

Race Now: Race with random players.
Arrange a race: Invite other players to race with you.

Socializing

Join Team: Join existing team.
Create Team: creates a new team and also makes you a team member.
My Team Members: Shows all your online team members and allows you to invite new team members.
Friends: Shows your online friends and allows you to invite new friends.
Tell a Friend: Send invite email to your friends.

My Driver

Edit Appearance: Change your avatar appearance and shop new items.
Info: View and edit your player profile.
Gestures: Some emotes available to avatar.

High scores

Best Track Times: Shows best lap and race times for each track.
Scores: Shows score table for individual players, teams and nationalities.

More

Options: Modify your sound and graphics options.
Payment: Purchase membership for full game content.
Help: Game guide and other useful items.
Report a Bug: Send a bug report to the developers of the game.


Character screen

In character screen you can modify your avatar’s appearance. On the left side of window you have list of things you can use and on the right side list of things you can buy. The points you earn by racing are converted to credits. If you have a Membership you can use credits to buy stuff.


Payment window

Buying Membership will allow you to fully enjoy all the aspects of the game. When you access payment window you are given instructions how to purchase game time by different payment options. In the same window you will also enter the activation code to start your subscription.


Race

Every time you start a race you have to choose a track and a number of laps to drive. You will also choose a difficulty setting from beginner, advanced or expert. Beginner is easy setting with some driving help and unbreakable car. Advanced setting gives you normal driving and chance to break your car at collision. Expert setting is more realistic and lot harder to drive with delayed recovery from crashes.

Controls

Up Arrow = Accelerate

Down Arrow = Brake Left

Right Arrow = Steer Left

Right Ctrl = Rearview mirror look

Tab = Change camera view (close, cockpit, far)

 

You can exit the race by left clicking Exit-button on the upper right corner.

Race displays

Upper left corner - Number of laps (driven / total). Upper right corner - Your position in race. Lower right corner - Gear and rpm meters. Lower left corner - Track map, where your flag shows slightly larger than other players.

After you have crossed the finish line race wrap-up window will open, telling you the results and points awarded to competitors. Amount of points distributed will depend on the track length and number of laps driven.
