If you were not a snowboarder, what would you be? If I weren’t a snowboarder I’d probably be a sound designer in TV productions.

But you are, so please tell when and why did you start snowboarding? I’ve snowboarded since 1999, when my friends got me on to the slope and asked if I want to try some snowboarding. Yes, and I was hooked!

When did you know a pro snowboarder is what you wanted to be? I have dreamt about being a pro snowboarder ever since I started. After my accident and my first competitions in the para-sbx world I noticed that snowboarding is what I have to do.

Greatest accomplishment as a snowboarder? World Cup race win in La Molina 2014, multiple podium places at para-sbx World Cup tour. X Games 2015 Snowboarder X Adaptive.

Best snowboarding memory? Best memory from snowboarding goes to the springtime of 2012 when I started snowboarding again after my accident. My friend pushed me to the slope and said you can do this if you want to. And I really did! That lap was one of the best of my life. I realized then that nothing has changed and I can do what ever I want if I really want to!

One word to describe snowboarding? FUN!

If we asked your best friends to describe you with 3 words, what would those words be? Powerful, relentless and helpful :)

What is the longest time you haven’t been on your snowboard? 4 years after my motorcycle accident.

What are you doing when you are not on a snowboard? Snowmobiling, BMX racing, mountain biking, skateboarding and mountain boarding. In the summertime I love to go hiking in the woods and look for some small rivers where I can fool trout with my fly fishing gear.

How many travel days do you get in a year? About 5 months.

How was your 2014? Year 2014 was pretty awesome! I was 3rd in the World Cup overall and got a place for the Sochi Paralympics, where para-sbx was in Paralympic program for the first time.

What’s going down in 2015? Worldcup tour and X Games. After racing season I’d like to find some pow to shred, so I’ll probably go to Tamok after the competitions.
